The Power of Personalized Insight

At NEN, Dr. Stein offers evaluations designed around your child—not a checklist. With specialized training from Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and years of experience with a wide range of children, teens, and adults, our evaluations offer more than just diagnoses—they offer a clear path forward.

Comprehensive Evaluations

One fee. No surprises. No insurance constraints. No sharing of your family's personal information.

Our evaluation process is curated to provide the most meaningful insights with
precision, care, and discretion.

What’s included in a comprehensive evaluation

  1. In-depth intake prior to testing, with extensive history reviewed prior to the intake meeting

  2. A full day of individualized testing with Dr. Stein and our in house teacher/reading specialist, with no time constraints.  Additional testing can be conducted that day or on a different date if needed, typically for no added fee

  3. Coordination with educators or specialists

  4. Comprehensive, narrative-style report delivered, on average, one week after testing

  5. In depth feedback session with full review of the written report including actionable next steps for home, school, and follow up

  6. Easy access to Dr. Stein for follow up questions

Follow up care

At NEN, we pride ourselves on connecting our patients to the right providers, tutors, therapists, doctors, and coaches for their individual needs.  We have a wide network and make personal referrals that ensure a smooth transition.

In addition to referring to appropriate resources, NEN offers follow up assessment services tailored to each individual's needs.  For some, a three year standard follow up is recommended.  For others such as those with dyslexia, we offer more targeted follow up at regular intervals to ensure that interventions are effective, allowing families to change course if needed.
